Raiding Featured on AICN!! Plus some more news.

I am very pleased to be able to link to a rather cool write-up on Aint It Cool News from the very kind @BritgeekAICN all about my work and in particular the recently released three parts of Raiding The Lost Ark.

I’ve spent another five hours or so on Final Cut Pro today sorting the timeline out and in particular the sound mix which was all over the place! I’ve also added in some material that i’ve been meaning to integrate for months.  Additionally I’ve been in conversation online with sculptor Brian Muir about his work on Raiders. I hope to meet him and get some more great material for the commentary track next week.  I am also following up a lead who is in contact with Executive Producer Howard Kazanjian. I am also waiting to hear back from another individual who knows one of the actresses who auditioned for the part of Marion Ravenwood. More on all that as I get it.

  1. These documentrys are quite simply stunning everything a true fan could possibly want plus more. I cannot praise enough, GREAT STUFF!

    • Thanks Peter. I really appreciate the feedback. So glad you are enjoying my vids

  2. Hi,
I have to agree with Peter, the documentaries are fantastic. Thak you very much for putting them together. I can imagine they are a huge amount of work.

One thing I have always wondered about, and have had very large fights with a good friend of mine about as well. I have a very vivid memory of seeing raiders when it first came out, and I distinctly remember the scene when indy gets on top of the U-boat. I remember the scene also showing the U-boat going down to periscope depth and Indy whipping the whip around the periscope. Obviously, this scene isn’t in any of the video releases to date (though I think the scene is mentioned in the script discussion that has been floating around the web for a few years now) and even if it was in there, it is probably of a par with indy being nuked in the fridge in terms of believeability.

Maybe as a kid, I filled in the gap as to how he managed to get onto the island, but I am really interested to see what you come up with for that scene.

    Thanks again, really great stuff.
    Eudo

    • Thanks Eudo. Have a look out for the periscope scene section in ‘Raiding’! I don’t have footage but I have the next best thing, animation, photos and commentary.
